Not Something an Oculoplastic Surgeon Likes to See - Part 3

The patient stayed in the hospital and received daily dressing. He was discharged two weeks later and followed up in the eye department of another town.

Two week post-exenteration. Granulation was progressing well 
and the wound was clean.

  2. Dr Chua, are you usually cleaning socket with povidone? Are you applying antibiotic ointments after surgery or while dressing?
    We use to remove dressing only at the third day post op, mostly because of fear of bleeding. Are you experiencing bleedings during dressing on the first day? Thanks

  3. I don't clean with povidone but applied chloramphenicol ointment on gauge used to dress the wound. The dressing was removed the next day but new gauge was appplied to the socket daily for about 5 days.
